About Us
Root Down Farm
We are a small family farm located near Burnsville, NC in the beautiful blue ridge mountains. We have 5 daughters who help us wherever they fit!
We strive to grow our own vegetables for our family as well as the Food Truck., What we don’t grow ourselves we source locally from other farmers who grow using organic and regenerative farming practices.
We raise dairy cows, pigs, chickens , ducks, goats, dogs, and of course a few barn cats.
We are in the process of finishing out a more permanent home for the food truck - Root Down Depot - We hope it to be a place where community comes together for food, conversation, play, and maybe to grab a local product or two from our retail space. Hoping to finish in time for Spring 2025!
